NSW health authorities have confirmed 13 new coronavirus cases in the state, including 10 linked to the Crossroads Hotel cluster in Sydney’s south-west.
Chief Health Minister Dr Kerry Chant confirmed six of the new confirmed infections attended the hotel, while two were close contacts and two others contracted the virus after attending the Planet Fitness gym in Casula which was also associated with the hotel outbreak.
A total of 34 infections have so far linked with the Crossroads Hotel.
“I think this highlights the rapidity in which COVID can spread and the importance of us identifying these cases very rapidly,” Ms Chant said.
She advised staff and patrons who attended the Casula gym between July 4 and July 10 to present themselves for testing and self-isolate for 14 days.
