A perplexing aspect of SARS-CoV-2, the novel coronavirus that causes COVID-19, is that people respond to it in disparate ways — some exhibiting no symptoms at all, and others experiencing life-threatening complications. Several reports document cases where people have experienced prolonged symptoms ranging from fatigue, to psychosis and myocarditis, or inflammation of the heart tissue, even a month out.
