The ring muscle up is probably the most complex movement in CrossFit gymnastics, as it requires a balance of strength and coordination.
However, it’s “older sister” variation the strict ring muscle up can be an even bigger obstacle to overcome.
In the strict RMU there is nowhere to hide and where more complex coordination is out of the picture in comes a requirement for excellent mobility and pulling strength.
In this video, we break down all the components to a strict ring muscle up and how you can master them individually to achieve your first strict muscle up or add a few reps to your max set.
