Actress Whoopi Goldberg is playing a game of “one-upmanship” after she doubled down on her earlier comments about the Holocaust, author Rabbi Shmuley Boteach says.
In an interview with the UK’s Sunday Times, Ms Goldberg said, “you couldn’t tell a Jew on the street. You could find me. You couldn’t find them,” and goes on to say the Holocaust “wasn’t originally about race”.
“Who has suffered more is what she is saying,” Mr Boteach told Sky News host Rita Panahi.
“Games of one-upmanship when it comes to human suffering and annihilation are never wise. The Black community has suffered immeasurable as has the Jewish community.
“The Holocaust was the world’s greatest crime.”
