Sylvia Weve has photo-shopped 17th century paintings of famous Dutch artists. We see the original picture and the artistic photo-shopped version with the Dutch gesture. See is a free-lance illustrator and has published her work in many Dutch newspapers and magazines and has illustrated many books. In 2013 she won the prestigious Dutch prize, The Golden Pensal for best illustrator and in 2015 she won the Woutertje Pietertje Price for best children’s book.
Bonnie Wassing is responsible for the text and explains the gestures for you. He holds a degree in Dutch and currently teaches Dutch Language at the University of Amsterdam. In 2013/14 he has taught Dutch at Yale University in the U.S. He is also a private tutor of Dutch.
Boris Strinic made the graphic design for this calendar. All of the original pictures are hanging in the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, except The Girl with the {earl Earring, which is hanging in the Mauritshuis in The Hague.
