Welcome back the 2024 outdoor cannabis garden tour! It's been about 2 weeks since the last garden vlog. This is the fifth garden update in the 2024 Outdoor Cannabis Garden Tour series and the first garden update of July.
Over the last two weeks the weather has been extremely hot and arid. I've supercropped a lot of the plants and added the first layer of mesh netting to help space out the nodes and maintain adequate air circulation.
I also swapped the locations of the Unicorn Heaven F1 and The Skittle Mittens F1. The Unicorn Heaven was growing very vigorously and I was concerned it would grow too tall by the end of the season, potentially drawing unwanted attention from passerbys. By switching the locations of the plants, The Unicorn Heaven would have more vertical space to grow.
Unfortunately I damaged the roots quite significantly which stressed the plants out. I didn't do a good job preemptively shading the plants so the strong sunlight caused significant wilting. I'm not sure what will happen now, but I'm definitely regretting my decision to move the plants.
I'm also a bit nervous about the Chernobyl S1 plants. Both seem to be showing signs of stress. One displays some yellowing, and die off of the internal fan leaves and both seem to be showing some curling of the top leaves. I'm not sure if this is related to the root rot from last season of if the plants are stressed for some other reason, possibly extended lack of rain.
Hopefully things improve soon. The next outdoor cannabis garden vlog update will be in 2 weeks; Enjoy your fourth of July and see you then!
