Continuing to favor one side can lead to muscle imbalances, overall tightness and more pain 😣
If you can begin to help your painful or difficult side accept weight easier and without hesitation- you can begin to balance out ✅
The key is doing it in a way that’s not going to significantly flare up the pain ☝🏽
One of my favorite ways as a physical therapist to help people start getting used to weight bearing again is using this side and backwards step shown in this video 🙌🏼
Use one handed or two handed support when beginning to help minimize any compensations 😇
10-12 repetitions could be a great place to start depending on how difficult this feels 👣
Start practicing every day or every other day and help your leg build more confidence! 📶
