Alfred Jodl WW2
Jodl was a German colonel general (Generaloberst) who served as the chief of the Operations Staff of the Oberkommando der Wehrmacht – the German Armed Forces High Command.
Jodl signed the unconditional surrender of Germany to allied forces.
He was hanged at Nuremberg Prison on 16 October 1946.
last words were reportedly "Ich grüße Dich, mein ewiges Deutschland" – "I greet you, my eternal Germany.
