A court in Lahore has sentenced former Pakistan prime minister Imran Khan to three years in jail.

The famous ex-cricketer was ruled to have illegally bought and stolen state gifts worth more than $700,000.

The 70-year-old cricketer-turned-politician denies any wrongdoing, but was found guilty of misusing the gifts during his time in office from 2018 to 2022.

Over 150 cases were brought against Mr Khan.
