Coach Bill Renner uses four core drills with a towel first and then the same four core drills with a ball to teach and coach quarterback throwing mechanics. In between the towel and the ball drills, he does the Slo-Motion Wall Drill. This drill slows down the throwing movement sequence so the quarterback can think, feel and execute the movement correctly. Research shows that slowing down a movement allows the athlete to train the right neural circuit from the athlete’s thoughts to his body more efficiently. Coach Renner demonstrates the key positions of load, step, hips, elbow lead, release and follow through to coach when your quarterback is doing the Slo-Motion Wall Drill. 1 set of 10 reps is performed. And, this drill can be done daily to train and coach the quarterback to improve his throwing mechanics sequence.
