This easy 2x2 ribbing tutorial will show you how to knit both symmetrical and unsymmetrical double ribbing, and also explain how ribbing is made up of knit stitch 'ridges' and purl stitch 'valleys'.
This rib pattern is extremely popular and is used anywhere that requires stretch. You'll most often see this ribbing along the edges of hats and sweaters where it needs to 'hug' the head or body.
