In this video I step through assembling a version 3 gearbox w/ quick change spring from an Elite Force/Umarex G36C, as well as upgrading several components.
Several years ago a couple of teeth on the spur gear broke inside the gearbox of my airsoft gun. After the skirmish I disassembled it not knowing what I was doing. To the surprise of no one I didn't know how to put it back together :(
After many hours of researching, and a local tech shop refusing to fix an already disassembled gun (i don't blame them), I took it upon myself to fix the gearbox myself.
Since I'll be in the gearbox I decide to also upgrade a few parts. If you have read this far, thank you, and also please note I corrected the AOE by taking the original cylinder head and removing the rubber, then gluing it to my upgraded cylinder head.
