This is a tutorial on how to do what I think is the "most common" S-wrap on the Aerial Silks. S-wrap is a key skill and can lead to so many other sequences: Splits, Drops, and more! There are so many different S-wrap variations and while this one is not quite the easiest I think it is the one you will come across most in your training so we might as well learn it now!
Remember to please always practice with a crash mat. Also if you are brand new to silks I always highly recommend you take an IN PERSON class. The bulk of my tutorials are designed for people with at least some aerial knowledge and training under their belt! #aerialsilks #aerialist #aerialyoga
My name is Laurie Bloom and I am ACE (American Council on Exercise) certified in both Group Fitness and Personal Training and also have a 200 hour Yoga Certification from Yoga Renew. I toured the world as a dancer when I was younger and now I train Aerial Silks and Contortion as a 43 year old adult. My mantra is: It's Never Too Late! And while it can be harder to learn new skills and train your body to do certain things when you're older, I've seen amazing transformations from people of all ages.
