[ Ссылка ] Patients commonly ask, once they have a joint replacement done, what is the level of activity they can return to? And that is important. We generally do a joint replacement to improve pain and to allow you to return to a more active level. Lower impact type of activities, such as swimming, biking and even golf, are very reasonable. Higher impact activities like running, jumping, and even high-level skiing such as moguls can put some wear on that joint and you may feel some of that over time. Thereby, you can do those activities understanding that your joint will see more of an impact by these higher impact activities. But it doesn't mean that you can't return to those activities. The whole point of a joint replacement is to allow you to return to a more comfortable level for those activities that you would like to do.
