Katie Nobles:
Hi, I am Katie Nobles and
Michael Liner:
I'm disability attorney Michael Liner.
Katie Nobles:
And you are watching the bottom line. Today's topic is actually a question that was submitted on our website by one of our clients, and that is after I turn 65, do the disability reviews continue? So, Michael, break this one down for us.
Michael Liner:
Yeah, so this is a common question that we get from clients. They want to know how disability affects their retirement. One thing that I like to explain to clients is that receiving Social Security disability benefits is like collecting your full retirement benefit early. And that makes sense. Mm-Hmm. because eventually disability benefits actually transition to retirement benefits, the client doesn't notice a difference or the beneficiary doesn't really notice a difference. Uit's just where the money comes from. The, the disability, funds come from the disability trust that Social Security has. And the retirement of course comes from the retirement trust. But once you reach full retirement age, since you're receiving retirement benefits instead of disability benefits, there are no more disability reviews. So,hopefully that answers the question that was asked by our client.
Katie Nobles:
Yeah, absolutely. Thank you so much for taking the time, and we actually do read these questions that are submitted to us. So if you have a question that you want answered, go ahead and visit our website. That is linerlegal.com.
