The Tartans closed out league play and the regular season at home against Claremont. The Tartans entered week 10 at 3-1 in league play after suffering their first Baseline League loss the week before at Chino. This game with Claremont was a Thursday night game with the loser being eliminated from playoff contention. The Tartans came out strong offensively both running and passing and ended the opening drive with a TD. The Glendora defense was solid all night, bending a bit here and there but never breaking. A late FG gave the Tartans a 16-10 lead late in the 4th and the win was sealed with a late INT. The Tartans secured their 4th straight Baseline League Championship and that became an outright championship the next night when Damien beat Chino. This game was a culmination of sorts for me personally. Statistically speaking it was my best game offensively with several catches, including a TD and I had a solid defensive game as well capped by a 4th quarter INT. Having never played organized tackle football until I was a Freshman in HS...it was very satisfying to see the progression over 4 years. So proud to be a Tartan! Be the best!
