A new study from the University of Tokyo may have found the first primate pheromones in ring-tailed lemurs. Males in this species of lemur have been found to chemicals secreted from their wrists onto their tails, and then waving their tails at females. An analysis of the chemicals secreted by the males found that floral and fruity compounds were more pronounced during the mating season.
