Mr. Andy Williams was born into a military family in Trenton, Ontario, in 1964. He enlisted in the Canadian Armed Forces as a young man and spent 25 years with the Regular Force. His career as an army medic took him to many different postings across Canada, as well as overseas deployments as part of peace support missions to Bosnia in 1997 and Kosovo in 1998. In this clip, Mr. Williams talks about the conditions the medics faced in the Balkans and the dangerous trips he took in an unarmoured ambulance there.
