Carlos Alcaraz brought sportsmanship to Centre Court during the third round of Wimbledon on July 5.
In a nail-biter against Frances Tiafoe, the reigning Wimbledon champion dropped one close to the net, and the American slipped while chasing the ball.
Tiafoe, who slipped last month on the grass courts at Queen’s Club in London and sprained his ACL, laid down after the fall.
That’s when Alcaraz came around the net to help his opponent to his feet.
Play resumed shortly after and Tiafoe brought drama to the match going ahead 2-1 before a weather delay.
Tiafoe slipped again in the fourth-set tiebreaker and struggled to get back on his feet for the second time.
In the end, Alcaraz defeated Tiafoe in five sets.
