Today Kelly talks us through his strategies whilst fishing in the spring. The key is to use flies with large heads that will disturb and push lots of water. Start by matching the color of the water, but if that doesn't work, try the exact opposite, then work through the rest of your colors. If you're not able to induce a reactionary take, try a smaller fly like a Black Nose Dace, a Grey Ghost, or something else in the 2-inch range.
