SS architects played a key role in making it physically possible to commit one of humanity’s most shocking crimes.
Their expertise was indispensable in designing and coordinating the construction of the regime’s factories of death, ensuring their functionality and effectiveness. Auschwitz remains one of the best-known examples, with three central camps and more than 40 sub-camps where over 1,110,000 people were killed.
