Fluid gels are very low viscosity liquids that have a high yield value, so are able to suspend particulates and pearls without stability issues. When creating a fluid gel the addition of Gellan Gum and the process post addition is critical to achieving the highest yield and therefore the greatest long-term stability. Gellan Gums are natural as they are derived from micro-organisms found living on lily leaves. They are produced via fermentation, are biodegradable and compatible with Ecocert and Cosmos formulations. They can be used to produce a range of textures from fluid gels to rigid and elastic gels making them valuable raw material in natural formulations.
