What's a guy to do on a Monday off from work? GO CRABBING!
With a super high tide, and rivers in flood stage, we had some really high water at Yaquina Bay in Newport, OR. This made for some unique conditions for catching crab in the dead of winter in January. In this video, I'll show you what gear I use to catch crab, as well as how to set up, bait, and know what you can and can't keep. Not to mention catching my biggest dungeness crab to date!
Tips up, tight lines and have fun fishing!
