Looking for an easy vintage dress to sew in just a few hours? Well, I put myself to the test using the Decades of Style TLC Caftan to see if it was possible to make this "easy" sewing pattern in a day!

It's also the 2 year anniversary since Decades of Style released this pattern 🎉! I love how comfortable, relaxed, and elegant this caftan is, and it definitely has helped me feel more human during these past few weeks. It is an incredibly easy vintage sewing pattern, as you don't know how to sew zippers or buttons, etc. It is definitely an excellent dress pattern for beginners and a perfect dressmaking project for the summer. The only fiddly bits I whine about (and I always whine about these bits - it has nothing to do with the sewing pattern!) are putting on the neck facing and the armholes. Decades of Style does a great job writing their instructions to make this an easy sewing project for beginners. So, if you're looking for an easy vintage style dress that you can make in a day, you want to sew a cute beach cover-up, or are looking for a cute caftan to add to your slow fashion wardrobe - I highly recommend the Decades of Style TLC Caftan! (I am not being paid to say this - I genuinely love this dress pattern and the sewing pattern company.)
