Pretty scary actually!
After riding fairly confidently on High on the Hog and Hog Heaven (otherwise known as "The Hogs"), we decided to tackle Highline.
But instead of sharing footage from that ride where I had to start and stop about a million times, I decided on sharing footage from my second ride down this trail. I definitely benefited from the ol' Pre-ride, Re-ride, Free Ride mentality.
While HiLine is rated the same as The Hogs, I found it substantially trickier.
Not Harder. Just trickier.
IN MY OPINION: The Hogs rides more like a Blue/Black with Exposure. The trail itself isn't that tricky inbetween "The Big Ones". Those features don't really sneak up on you. You'll know it when you stumble upon a double black on The Hogs.
HiLine is a different animal. The entire length of the trail is a black trail (except for when its a double black). Lots of oddly shaped rocks seem to want to throw you off the trail and down the cliff. The exposure isn't terrible. It's not always a straight up cliff, but it's hard to keep the exposure out of your head.
Once you make it past all the black jank, you'll reach the double black features. And then things get interesting before they are suddenly over and the trail is done.
