Kingfish are starting to show up right off the beaches here in the Tampa Bay Area. These toothy torpedoes are awesome to catch, but consideration to their teeth and overall speed plays a role in how to catch them.
Kingfish normally eat with an incredibly fast and violent way, often flying up out of the water when near the surface. Setting your drag correctly is a huge factor in whether or not you hook that fish or he pulls off. Another big part of kingfish is their teeth.
