Disclosure: As noted in the previous video, Mekotronics sent me the R58 for free.
Now that I have the Mekotronics R58X and R58, I will use one to record the screen of the other. Because the HDMI Out port is connected to the HDMI In port, I can record the screen, without any impact on performance.
Unfortunately there is a conflict between screen recorders and the Live TV app over use of the microphone. Audio was recorded with my phone (Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3).
I think the performance gains compared to last time, is mostly because of the new Android build. I don't think the extra memory has much impact. I tested the R58X with only 4 GB and the results are very similar to the R58 with 8GB.
I wonder where that difference with the OpenGL Aquarium test comes from. Perhaps it does use a lot of memory.
