Follow these steps to calculate how many regulated shots you should achieve from your air gun, what ever the caliber or power. Please note that you can move the power curve of the Hammer & Outlet Valve springs to give more shots if done correctly.
Step 1: Use the chart shown to first work out how many foot pounds ft/lb of energy you may use to fire your pellet at the ft/lb energy you require.
Example: .177 @ 12ft/lb = 12ft/lb X Factor 1.9 = 22.80ft/lb used to attain 12ft/lb at the muzzle.
Step 2: Calculate the volume of both the Outlet Valve Chamber (OLVC) & The Main Air
Reservoir Chamber (MARC) in CC (cm cubed).
Example: OLVC = 8.8cc & MARC = 132.6cc
Step 3: Divide OLVC by four (4). Add (+) this figure to MARC = Total Potential Volume.
Example: OLVC 8.8CC / 4 = 2.2 + MARC 132.6 = TPV 134.8cc
Step 4: Divide the TPV by the fill pressure of your gun.
(Please NOTE: I advise you use 3000p.s.i. = 206.84 bar, If not adjust your figure in bar to suit. DO NOT USE P.S.I. i.e. 220 Bar)
Example: TPV 134.8cc Divide by 206.84 bar = .6517114cc
Step 5: Then times this answer by the pressure setting of your Regulator in Bar.
Example: .6517114 x (Regulator set at 95Bar) 95bar = 61.912583cc
Step 6: Minus this figure (-) from your TPV = Total Usable Volume.
Example: TPV 134.80cc Minus - 61.912583cc = TUV 72.887417cc
Step 7: Times the Total Usable Volume by the ft/lb energy stored in
1cc of compressed air at 22 degrees c & 206.84bar = 28.946ft/lb
Example: TUV 72.887417cc X 28.946ft/lb = TPE 2109.7992ft/lb
So we have now got to the stage that we know that in our air gun we have a
Total Potential Energy store of 2109.779ft/lb of energy that can be
processed by the regulator to the Outlet Valve Assembly then passed on to
our pellet awaiting kinetic forward motion in the barrel :-)

Stage 8: Now you have kept your very 1st Calculation from
Step 1 handy haven't you? (For the Example below I have used the 1st Example
on the list the in Step 1: The 121ft/lb .177 X Factor 1.9 = 22.80ft/lb )
Take the TPE & divide it by the Energy in ft/lb you require per shot
= Approximate Number Of Shots That You Should Get
From You Rifle Before The Regulator Cuts Out.
2109.779ft/lb / 22.80ft/lb = 92 REGULATED SHOTS
