IEEMA Meter Division proudly announces the 9th edition of “Metering India", the benchmark event of the Indian energy metering industry. “Metering India”, powered by IEEMA, is a biennial event organized in collaboration with metering companies & various stakeholders in the electrical ecosystem.

Since 2004, more than 3300 delegates representing diversified fraternity of power sector have participated in "Metering India” seminars. The last edition was attended by over 600 participants representing more than 180 organizations comprising of utilities, consultants, franchisees, institutions, testing labs, system integrators, regulators, solution providers and manufacturers.

The theme of Metering India 2022 is "Resilient Utilities & Empowered Consumers”. Since inception, "Metering India” seminar has been a catalyst of change and motivated utility officials to use the new technologies in Metering domain to serve the consumer needs.

In line with the Government of India's COP-26 commitment of achieving net-zero emission by 2070, Indian utilities are witnessing a shift in their business process & use cases, like large scale RE integration, distributed generation, ancillary services and e-mobility. Adaption to digital solutions is one of the key critical factors to cater this transition.

Smart metering could be the first stepping stone towards digital transformation & business process re-engineering of Indian utilities. When we talk of digitization, first thing which comes to our mind is use of data from the multitude of field devices and Al.
