German Chancellor Angela Merkel has confirmed Russian Opposition Leader Alexei Navalny was the victim of attempted murder.
An investigation launched by the German government found without doubt the anti-corruption activist was poisoned with novichok.
The Soviet-era chemical acts on the nervous system and was also used in the attempted killing of Russian Officer and double agent Sergei Skripal.
Mr Navalny is currently in intensive care at a Berlin hospital.
