Have you ever thought about where the ancient Egyptians, those incredible builders of the pyramids and pioneers of early civilization, originally came from? Contrary to what some might think, their beginnings weren't rooted in Europe, Asia, or Arabia. Instead, their story starts in a place that's not widely known or talked about.
The Land of Punt was an ancient kingdom famous in old Egyptian stories for its riches. It was a place where gold, sweet-smelling resins, rare woods, ivory, and wild animals were found in abundance. For the ancient Egyptians, Punt was very special-it was thought to be the place where their civilization began, almost like a sacred homeland given by the gods.
