Penn State Wrestler Geno Morelli teaches a common mistake that jiu-jitsu athletes make on their takedown attempts. When hitting a single-leg takedown, you need to close the gap to get to your opponent's legs. You can get there 2 ways:
1. Overextend your torso and break your posture
2. Use footwork and keep your hips under you
I recommend #2!
