Another case of 2 South Africans doing incredible well abroad, in this case we had Faf De Klerk's Canon Eagles, taking on Kwagga Smith's Shizuka Blue Revs. The contest ended in a draw, but the two players who stood out in this contest was both Faf and Kwagga. It was nice to see an attacking Faf de Klerk, where he is allowed to play more aggresive, it truly shows his attacking talent, unfortunately we don't always get to see it when he plays for the Springboks. But he really is incredible if he is allowed to let the game flow with his decision making.
On the other side we had Kwagga Smith, who was incredible at the breakdown, as he always is. He was solid on defence, and great on attack. On his one try, it was funny to see him carry Faf de Klerk 5 meters before scoring the try. On his other try he just showed his instinct, he forced a turnover penalty at the breakdown, and before the defence got set, he made a quick tap, and scored a great try.
It was a great weekend for a lot of the Springbok players playing abroad.
