Our annual support of Los Angeles Sheriff Norwalk Station. Baker-to-Vegas is a 120-mile foot relay through the Mojave Desert near Death Valley. Nearly 300 law-enforcement 20-runner teams participate. A commemorative baton is passed from runner to runner; dozens more crew provide vehicle, personnel, and logistical support for each team.
The MojaveRATS (KM0RAT) is a loose community of HAM Radio operators supporting the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department and other guest teams for thirty-five years.
