PFF just released their Top 25 pre-season rankings for college football.
Of course, I have to react to their top 5.
#5 - Texas
They’ve been saying Texas is back for almost a decade now but this time it may actually be true.
Texas returns a boatload of talent on both sides of the ball and most importantly QB Quinn Ewers — who is a serious dark horse for the Heisman.
#4 - Michigan
Wolverine fans everywhere were scratching their heads wondering how in the world did we lose to TCU in the semifinals last year.
With JJ McCarthy and Blake Corum back in Ann Arbor, they should find a way to make it back to the playoff.
#3 - Ohio State
This will be a huge revenge season for Ohio
State – and it will all depend on how well Kyle McCord can carry the torch from CJ Stroud.
#2 - Alabama
Nick Saban has been consistently vocal about his displeasure with the committee for leaving them out of the CFP last season.
And now he’s got a chance to prove them wrong this year with a loaded roster.
#1 - Georgia
Georgia is on their quest for the first 3-peat in college football history.
It’s kind of scary that last year was supposed to be a rebuilding year for Kirby Smart and his UGA boys.
Now they return a heavy majority of their championship squad from last season and should be everyone’s #1 going into the year.
