A classic video by master climber John Long from 1988 on the art and craft of lead climbing following his Basics of Rock Climbing video. The video is no longer available, so I'm hoping John won't mind me putting this up for future generations to consume. The techniques taught in this video are as applicable today as they were then, even though equipment continually updates. Perhaps this will encourage a younger generation raised in Rock Gyms to get outside and explore the world beyond their four walls and colored, man-made handholds. Rock climbing is much more than simply getting to the top of the climb.
