Standard .308 uses a large rifle Primer. .308 Palma has a small rifle primer, which gives more consistent ignition and more consistent pressure. And that translates into more consistent groups downrange - which could be the difference between first and second place at a match! Hunters should stick to standard large primer .308 Win ammo for its added measure of reliability in adverse conditions. The good news is BOTH types of .308 ammo work just fine in any .308 rifle.
