Bayern Munich is a team that performed exceptionally in the 2019/2020 Champions League. Hansi Flick's team won the championship after beating Paris Saint-Germain 1-0 in the final that took place in Lisbon, Portugal, on August 24, 2020. This is Bayern's sixth title in the Champions League, and also treble winners after previously winning the Bundesliga and DFB Pokal.

Bayern started the tournament by joining Group B with Tottenham Hotspur, Olympiakos, and Crvena Zvezda. Bayern achieved perfect results throughout the group stage. They won 6 wins, scored 24 goals and conceded none. Bayern even beat Tottenham 7-2 in London, and crushed Crvena Zvezda 0-6 in Belgrade.

In the last 16, Bayern were drawn to meet Chelsea, the runners-up of Group H. Bayern won 3-0 in the first leg at Stamford Bridge, thanks to goals from Serge Gnabry and Robert Lewandowski. In the second leg at the Allianz Arena, Bayern won 4-1 again, with two goals from Lewandowski, and one each from Ivan Perisic and Corentin Tolisso.

In the quarterfinals, Bayern faced Barcelona, the runners-up of Group F. Bayern showed incredible dominance by crushing Barcelona by a score of 8-2. Bayern scored goals through Thomas Muller, Perisic, Gnabry, Lewandowski, Philippe Coutinho, and Joshua Kimmich, while Barcelona could only reply through David Alaba and Luis Suarez's own goals.

In the semifinals, Bayern faced Lyon, third in Group G. Bayern won 3-0 over Lyon, with two goals from Gnabry and one from Lewandowski. Bayern also advanced to the final with a perfect record of 10 wins from 10 matches.

In the final, Bayern took on PSG, the Group A winners. Bayern won 1-0 over PSG, with a single goal from Kingsley Coman in the 59th minute. Bayern also celebrated their third Champions League title in a decade, and became the first team to win this tournament with a 100 percent record.
