We’re into the second round of Duleep Trophy games and as those selected for India’s Test team have left it opens up opportunities for others to come in and showcase their talent. There’s still plenty of pedigree in the players that’ll take the field today with India A taking on India D.
Mayank Agarwal has been named captain of India A and he’ll be keen to lead from the front after missing out on runs in the previous game. He’s got some exciting fast bowlers and Tanush Kotian the spinner everyone seems to agree will be a long-term prospect for India. Lot of India hopefuls in the India D squad as well not in the least is Shreyas Iyer the skipper himself.
He'll be bitterly disappointed after having not been recalled to the Test squad. Others like Devdutt Padikkal KS Bharat and Arshdeep Singh will be keen to leave a mark as well to further their cause for a place in India's red-ball setup.
