Cheddar Gorge is a fantastic place to climb, but it also has a number of safety restrictions to protect other visitors.

If you're climbing in Cheddar Gorge then you must have liability insurance, and be able to show proof of this cover, such as a BMC membership card, if requested. All BMC and Mountaineering Scotland members receive £15m of combined liability insurance cover as part of their membership.
