The 2023 season for New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers came to an abrupt halt before it could gain any momentum.
During the Jets' opening game, Rodgers suffered a devastating injury on just his fourth play.
Head coach Robert Saleh revealed to reporters after the Jets secured a thrilling 22-16 overtime victory against the Buffalo Bills that there were concerns that the four-time NFL MVP may have torn his Achilles tendon.
Unfortunately, the injury has been confirmed as season-ending for Rodgers.
The unfortunate incident occurred during the Jets' first drive on Monday night when Rodgers was injured and required assistance from the team's trainers.
Following a visit to the medical tent, he was subsequently transported to the locker room.
Initially, he was listed as questionable to return due to an ankle injury, but his status was later downgraded to out.
The Jets also provided an update, stating that X-rays had returned negative results.
