I saw some media posts that suggests that the Patriots have invited Rory “RJ” Starkey to their camp this weekend.
Starkey possesses impressive size, presenting a large target for quarterbacks. Starkey is 6’1” and is 215 lbs with nearly 10” hands.
He operates fearlessly over the middle, showing competitiveness and willingness to take on a front of defensemen. Starkey is highly aware of defenders around him and adapts well to zone coverage, finding optimal openings. His strong frame allows him to shield defenders effectively on contested catches, and he catches confidently with his strong hands. Additionally, Starkey displays excellent ball-tracking skills, sideline awareness, and aggressive running after the catch. He also contributes as a reliable blocker, aiding in big runs.
