When the winds are blowing strong there is a proper way to takeoff, as you see here executed perfectly. In this situation i was sure to be yanked during inflation so i did a cobra layout and inflation, following that once i gained control & was sure i could handle the air i had my buddy Noe Chaparro start the engine, once facing forward i immediately used power to stay in place right before takeoff i wanted to use the wind to my advantage so i just pulled a little brake and went up without taking one step, It was easy for me using the Paramania GTR 18m, recorded wind gusts @27 MPH during takeoff. Once airborne i flew until i was out of gas, super smooth & laminar winds the whole time. i even started soaring the ridge of the CONDO before landing, this was at Beach Blast 2015. The event was still going on but it was too windy for most pilots to fly that day so i had the place to myself, Notice Josh Gantt already in the air in the background on a GTR & Glenn Tupper walking out also right after me with his GTS. Paramania Reflex Wings are very Solid, Rigid, Trustworthy so it was a great day to fly for anyone using a Reflex wing.
