Here is one way to loosen a stuck oil pain drain plug (bolt) or any other low-mounted, horizontally located nut or bolt.

For safety, try to stay out from underneath the car during this process, as the upward pressure can cause the car to lift up on its suspension. In general, it's best to be out of harm's way whenever wrenching will cause movement while the car is lifted up on ramps, jack stands, etc.

Also, always be sure to use wheel chocks if wheels are on the ground to prevent the car from moving.
