Poking through some folders on my computer, I recently rediscovered this video that we did for a 2015 exhibit called “T-Rex Revealed – The Augmented + Virtual Reality Experience” for the Hong Kong Science Museum in partnership with National Geographic and Michael Pittman. I just got permission to share it, so here it is. As always, thanks to Ryan Ridgely for his talented work on the project. The narrative of the video was made to be specific to the exhibit and serve its narrative. Basically, it compares the brain endocast and sensory systems of T. rex to those of a crow (probably the smartest living dinosaur) and of course to people (because it's always all about us)! The fun challenge for Ryan and me (working with the Hong Kong team) was to convey the science across the dramatic differences in scale between these three very different species.
