To perform this baseball drill athletes will need a baseball glove and a set of Kbands. Athletes will attach the Kbands above the knees, put on the baseball glove, and assume a good fielding position.
Athletes will perform 20-30 second rounds in which the athlete rotates through several different body positions. Athletes will first mimic receiving a ground ball right to them, followed by stepping back with their non-glove foot and mimicking a backhand snag on a ground ball. The final movement will require athletes to step back with their glove side foot and mimic taking a “short hop” into their glove. This drill should consist of 3-4 20-30 second rounds.
