Jakob Butturff rolled the 28th televised perfect game in PBA history during the PBA Tour Finals.
Kyle Troup won the PBA Tour Finals for his Tour-leading third title of the season (he also claimed the Jonesboro Open and Roth/Holman Doubles Championship with Jesper Svensson).
Kris Prather's win in the PBA Tournament of Champions was his first major championship. Jason Belmonte's win in the U.S. Open was Belmonte's 12th major championship (he'd win his 13th in the World Championship) and also his first U.S. Open win, making him just the second player in PBA History to win the Super Slam of all five majors. Mike Aulby was the first.
Tommy Jones, hours after being inducted into the PBA Hall of Fame in the season-opening Hall of Fame Classic, rolled a perfect 300 game in the title match to win his 20th career title.
