Here are my top five tips if you have braces. I like these little tips and tricks as they help my patients through their orthodontic journey.
1. Get mouthwash that is specifically designed for orthodontics to reduce white spot lesions.
2. Come get your Thrive Sonic toothbrush or if you do not live in the Dallas/Fort Worth area go grab a Sonicare or Oral B automatic toothbrush.
3. Invest in a ton of Plackers. These make flossing so much easier.
4. Use Tylenol instead of Aspirin to reduce discomfort from braces.
5. Chew some gum. Studies have shown that chewing on gum or chewies can help ease discomfort caused by braces but do not chew gum with sugar in it!
