Just because one can swing it doesn't mean it's a good idea to use it this way, of course. There are pretty severe openings between the swings, and it's especially vulnerable to a beat. It's still a fun challenge to see how well one can. The long handle is as much a detriment to trying this as the mass; without a second hand to manage it, it has a tendency to whip around and can be tricky to give sufficient clearance.
