When troubleshooting a steering vibration on my BMW e39, I noticed one of the tie rods was loose and proceeded to replace the Center Tie Rod Drag Link Assembly, which fixed the problem.
Since I planned on flipping the car after I got it running, which I bought for only $500 from a pawn shop in Eustis, my buddy Stephan and I only replaced the center link bar and eyeballed the alignment.
Neither of us are mechanics, so this turned out to be a 2-3 hour job.
IMPORTANT! You WILL need a Universal Ball Joint Separator and a lot of patience...
